ARAGON HOUSE STUD
After many years of searching for the right spot we finally secured the purchase of a fabulous farm in the rolling hillside of North Cambridge last Spring. Aragon House Stud was founded in the summer of 2010. Since that time we have worked day and night to design, build and implement purpose built facilities to ensure the maximum care of our hand chosen mare herd and their offspring. We delivered our first foals at Aragon House Stud in the Spring of 2011 and we look forward to the arrival of some very special prospects in the Summer of 2019.
MARES
The Aragon House Stud mare herd has been hand chosen over many years and brings together some of the very finest dressage and jumping lines available in Europe today. Each mare has been selected for her own unique qualities and those of her offspring. All mares are given the very best of care and their offspring are managed to the same exacting standards. Around the clock on-site management by experienced and qualified equine professionals ensures that all aspects of their day to day needs are accommodated and their potential quality of life is optimised. Furthermore, the health and safety of our mares and their offspring is of paramount importance to us at all times. By providing the very best facilities during gestation we strive to maximise on the quality of our new born foals. View »
YOUNG STOCK
Aragon House Stud is a small "boutique" style stud established for the primary purpose of breeding a very small number of "elite" quality offspring each year. Each foal has been bred with a very specific future career in mind. Typically we are focussed on breeding dressage and/or dual purpose sports horses (i.e. they benefit from strong dressage and jumping lines within their parentage) this gives Aragon House Stud offspring and their potential owners the flexibility to develop their careers accordingly, thus allowing each horse to be an individual in its own right and to be allowed to play to its strengths. When it comes to stallions, Aragon House Stud has specific chosen to remain completely agnostic in this regard and in order to retain the flexibility needed when it comes to choosing the best possible partners for our mares. Consequently, and with the ever increasing improvement in Artificial Insemination (AI) techniques, a significant proportion of the stallions that we use currently stand overseas. View »
